Mediamax off line

This was posted on the Mediamax offical blog on 3 October:

We'll be performing routine maintenance this evening from 6PM until 8PM Pacific Daylight Time. We apologize for any inconvenience. We'll have the site up and running again as soon as possible.

Thanks for your business and support!

There has not been any update on the blog of 19 September about the 401 error.

See the quick link at the side for leaving comments on errors in October.

That 401 error is pretty much solved imho as I only have seen it on a couple of occassions since that time and it usually is only short lived (annoying nevertheless), but I hope that they fix it for good ... along with some other LONG outstanding stuff with their maintenace. Their estimated downtime though seems a litte short for major fixes, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I dont care what they do.Ive disabled sending them another dime till the site is 100% working.Im not paying till all my files are restored .I can ftp and upload at a quick rate.Till then they wont get a dime from me

At the risk of souding stupid ... has the maintenance taken place yet? If my timezone conversion was right maintenance should have happened at 01:00 (24hr), but I sure don't see any change.

New update. Even though I haven't seen any maintenance done the general system error has vanished. Website seems a little slower then usual, but at least it's working again. Can't comment on longer standing issues, but I'm awaiting personal mail from John Hood. If there is something interesting I'll post it here.

Thank you for your email. We do sincerely apologize for the recent issues you've encountered and apologize for this bulk reply. The general error should be resolved at this time. Should the issue persist on your end, please send us a new ticket with the subject heading GENERAL ERROR for a quicker turnaround time.

Four days later and still no posting on the the official Mediamax blog since the maintenance notice.

Let us hope John Hood will consider the proposals in the posting:

Your comment on that post did not respond to the suggestion, John. How about it?

Seems my good fortune at uploading is over. Getting reset to 0 Kbyte again, only single files uploads possible, upload page getting hitt with errors and to top it almost nothing gets processed. Guess it is also MMs weekend off :-(

Having the same problem as WillTRiker with the uploads - had some successes yesterday with http, but today, only 1 out of 4 attempts have made it to my account.

Last week, the same, single-file-at-a-time http uploading was successful about 95% of the time. Maybe the XL uploader will have better luck?

Still, I mustn't get impatient. They've only had 14 weeks so far to sort out this latest crop of problems.

Just saw my old war buddy General System error 100001 again when trying to send something and seconds later the enter MediaMax site did a houdini on me. I suppose it was a question of time with the detoriation of service that began just before last weekend, but it's annoying and dissapointing nevertheless that once again MM proves to be unstable and unreliable.
