They lost the files again....I Did It Again - Ups

None of my files have been transferred. My thousands of links to shared files are lost. I would gladly join in a legal action against Mediamax for false trading and intent to deceive.

I still have numerous emails for my dealings with mediamax that I would be will to hand over as evidence.

Let's get this scum hauled through the courts!

Hey mediamax! I'm now a thelinkup user, joined the free account, and i was wondering whether u guys still offer 25gigs of space for free? or do i need to pay in order to enjoy something that was 100% free back in mediamax?

If you want an indication of how well the migration to the migration of the migration to the migration to the linkup has gone, read this -

"This is to inform you that we have attempted to charge USD $ 11.9500
to your primary credit card and failed.

Reason: [Validator-Error] Credit Card Expiry Date: Renew Credit Card Year:200707

We have set your account to a restricted status. Please login to
your account and update your credit card and then send us an email
so we can charge your card and restore your account."

I just got that in an email yet I cancelled my account over a year ago -
John Hood, Steve Iverson and the rest of Streamload - Mediamax - The Linkup - F**K YOU!

THIEVES!

It's all fine for you screwed users to spout off about legal action, although it will probably NEVER HAPPEN.

Think back to the user agreement: something about the company "not being liable for lost files", and the company being allowed to "change terms at any time for any reason" and so on and so forth....

YOU ALREADY AGREED TO ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE RIPPED OFF.

Now, the other thing - were all of YOUR files LEGAL? If every one of them were your own legal files, you MIGHT be able to wrangle up some sort of case...but if there were ANY copyright-infringing items in your 800GB of stored files, you might have to THINK TWICE before starting that FEDERAL INTERNET INVESTIGATIVE ball rolling, eh?

Of course, these points had already been discussed and agreed upon in meetings behind closed doors, long before any of you had any inkling of what was coming.

Expect that there will NEVER be ANY legal action against StreamLoad/MediaMax/Linkup. They HAVE fulfilled their half of the contract.

Besides, legal action against corporations never fares very well.

It would be awfully LOWDOWN to spread the names and faces of the members of the corporation, in order that they could PERSONALLY deal with the BAD KARMA that they have coming...

Yeah - I figured that would be the case with any legal action, so I thought it would never come off...

Anyhow, a while back I complained that I could not delete my credit card details. I went back for another look see today and found that they have changed it so that you can no longer see your own credit card details to try (and fail) to remove them.

All I get now is "Would you like to pay by PayPal or Credit Card" and the next screen takes you to a page to input details.

Also, how on earth do you change passwords with this damned TLU thing? I cannot seem to find a place to do it. Am I just being blind?

I would suggest that fed up users might switch their credit card info over to PayPal - then a very SIMPLE matter to BLOCK payment at the PayPal end. I'd already contacted PayPal about blocking payments, they responded quickly and assured me it was done easily.

Voila - out of the evil loop.

Sadly, that's only an option if you have paypal. I don't.

July 30, and today TLU has deleted all comments from their official blog. Hundreds of comments during the past 2 months. Practially every comment was a serious complain and none of the issues were ever properly addressed by TLU. Several people had turned in the blog to their laywers and the attorney general as evidence of a fraudelent company. Now TLU has deleted all the comments to hide their tracks.

Sorry, my coment above should read JUNE 30 :)

How about that! Doesn't surprise me at all that they have deleted and disabled commenting.
I hope people find their way back to this blog, and the blog owners can start the 'monthly' discussions again.

The utter bar stewards for sanitizing their blog! No great surprise though from a company that's behaved abominably towards its customers over the years and received all the flak it deserved when its blogs allowed open comments.

And they've been in maintenance mode all day.

Could this be more than just a 'simple' maintenance...
